Do you want to spend a day at the beach but live too far from the coast? Then BillyBird Hemelrijk is the perfect destination. The park features a swimming lake with crystal-clear water. Floating safety lines create a safe swimming area for both children and adults. From May through September, lifeguards supervise the water to help keep everyone safe. There is plenty of space to relax on the beach, sun loungers are available for rent at the Beach Bar, and children can build beautiful sandcastles in the sand.

At BillyBird Hemelrijk’s beach, you can rent a sun lounger for €10 per day. The loungers are located in front of the Beach Bar and cannot be reserved in advance.

Stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) is allowed on the lake at Hemelrijk! Enjoy a relaxing trip on the water surrounded by nature and tranquillity. Beyond the floating safety line, access is only permitted for guests with good swimming ability. This means you must be able to swim safely without the use of flotation aids. Flotation aids include life jackets, armbands, cork floats, and similar items. Therefore, it is not permitted to paddleboard beyond the safety line while wearing a life jacket. This allows our lifeguards to determine whether you meet the requirements to be beyond the safety line. Children who rely on armbands, life jackets, or other flotation aids are also not permitted beyond the safety line, even when accompanying an adult on a SUP board.
