BillyBird is building the largest play castle in the Netherlands

BillyBird Park Drakenrijk will open the largest play castle in the Netherlands on April 30, 2023. The new play equipment will be fifteen meters high and will be located on the hill in a new play area. There will be a life-size Dragon on top of the castle. Last summer work started on a staircase on the hill and work is currently underway on the realization of the play castle. The new attraction will open to the public in April 2023.
BillyBird is a chain of recreational parks where nature and recreation go together. BillyBird also wants to realize the successful concept of BillyBird Park Hemelrijk in Volkel (Brabant) at BillyBird Park Drakenrijk in Reuver. As a visitor, this means being active and having fun in any type of weather. This way, guests can enjoy the beach in warm weather, play at the outdoor attractions in good weather and play indoors in bad weather.
We are working towards this step by step at BillyBird Park Drakenrijk. Currently, the park is mainly visited in nice swimming weather and people can play in the outdoor playground. While most of the work has been done on the infrastructure in recent years, the play castle will be the first major eye-catcher of the park. Visitors will soon be able to walk from the entrance past the BeachBar to the new play area on the hill.
Behind the hill there will be a path through the new dune landscape after which guests will end up in the Dragon Forest and can make the circuit around the swimming lake to the playground.
The play castle is an attraction where visitors can discover all kinds of things. BillyBird opts for a themed attraction and provides a connection with Beeselse thanks to the Dragon theme. The attraction contains several slides and rooms. What exactly there is to do in the play castle remains a secret for a while!
In addition to the play castle, there are plans to start building an indoor playground afterwards. This way, Drakenrijk can be open all year round and BillyBird can also fulfill the promise of “playing fun in any weather” in Beesel.
