Kasteel Helmond

Helmond Castle has been in the middle of the city for almost 700 years. It is a castle as a child could draw it: square and with round towers on the corners. Helmond Castle is the largest square moated castle in the Netherlands. The city castle is easily accessible, the attractive castle garden is accessible to everyone.

Step through the ancient gates and take a journey through time. Get to know the exciting world of knights, princesses and lords and discover how they lived. During the school holidays there is a special program for families where you can meet the castle residents. You can do treasure hunts with us all year round or join the attic tour: discover the attic mystery, the true story of the great castle fire in 1549.
