BillyBird is celebrating its 40th anniversary
On May 4, 2026, BillyBird Hemelrijk will celebrate its 40th anniversary . On May 4, 1986, the gates opened for the first time at the Hemelrijk recreational lake (Volkel). In the years that followed, we grew into a combination of a beach pool, indoor and outdoor playground, and since 2004, we have been called BillyBird. On May 25, 2013, BillyBird Drakenrijk in Beesel (Limburg) opened its gates to the public, and since this year we also have an indoor playground there. Since 2019, we have been operating the Het Run outdoor swimming pool (Drunen). This year we are celebrating 40 years of Party at BillyBird Hemelrijk with extra entertainment and meet & greets with mascot Billy. We will announce more details about the full program soon.
